The Perot 2 House

The Perot 2 House is the last of our properties to become an AMSP guest house and the second one on Perot Street, one of the oldest residential streets in our neighborhood. The house is decorated in an informal, country style primarily in colors of yellow, blue, and green. The newest feature is the built-in hutch along the west wall which houses a collection of green and yellow Depression glass and some amber pieces from the 50’s. There is a “baker’s alley” connecting the back of the house to the street. In bygone days, the milkman and baker used this alley to make their daily home deliveries. Without a “backyard” to speak of, the house does have a small deck off the third floor. Once used for drying laundry, it now provides an outdoor seating area – one of the many modest roof decks up and down this block and the adjoining one.
